Eviction Notice: Fantasy Novel is Right On Target

A New Science Fiction Novel by Robyn Wyrick

This is one of those sci-fi novels hard to put down. It is a science fiction, fantasy, comedy, and adventure. The story follows three main plot lines, Alice and her attempts to stop the eviction of humanity to die in deep space, Aloon and his dealings and attempts to save his own skin, and the Glen Fairy, Aria and her discovery of our world.

The science is purely of a high-fantasy variety. There is no effort to explain light-speed travel, alien ship propulsion, teleportation, or anything else. Eviction Notice simply asks us to play in that world. And it is easy.

The storyline flowed very well. The narrator is a first-person, omnicient, which is really unusual, but works beautifully. By the smallest slight of hand, the author puts us in mind to accept Sarah's impossible omnicient voice, which switches viewpoints and tones based on who she is describing.

It was nicely done with appropriate people telling the relevant portions of the story. The author keeps the reader interested throughout, never resorting to contrived setups.
